Ms. Catherine Macharia

Registered Psychologist, BA. Psych, Psych. Sc (Hons), MAAPI,

Certified Grief Counsellor.

I'm a warm, engaging, and compassionate psychologist who strives to establish a safe, non-judgemental, respectful and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients.

I welcome clients of all genders, ethnicities, and religions.

I have a special interest in grief counselling and also work with individuals experiencing a range of life challenges,

including trauma, anxiety, depression, difficulties adjusting to life transitions, relationship issues

and other mental health issues.

I also believe that Psychotherapy is not just a process of healing but is also suited for those seeking personal growth and awakening to a deeper, fuller and richer life.

My person-focused approach is anchored in the kunawiri belief that everyone has the capacity to change, grow

and create an authentic, meaningful and fulfilling life, even in the midst of inevitable life's storms.

I will work together with you to come up with an intervention that is unique to you and your needs.

Lastly, as a Christian psychologist,

I acknowledge that Christians are not immune to life's adversities.

Various factors including faith play an important role in how individuals perceive suffering and healing.

I am a mature Christian who have served in different capacities in the church, and as such understand that a Christian individual may want to incorporate Christian values in their healing journey.

To this end, I utilise scientific evidence-based therapy within the Christian Framework for those who wish to incorporate their Christian faith within the therapy process.
