     What is Kunawiri? 

 Kunawiri is a Swahili word meaning "to thrive/flourish".

Thriving is not a destiny but a process. It's a process that focuses on wellness as a whole. It's also a journey that individuals can choose to adopt and move towards inner healing and overall wellness. Kunawiri calls for resilience, as its one of the key ingredients that fuel the thriving process.    

 We live life at life's terms. At times life hands us adverse experiences such as trauma due to death of a loved one, sickness and diseases, divorce, and life transitions. When this happens, kunawiri reminds us that there is hope, we can still live authentic and fulfilling lives despite our adverse experiences. 

    At Kunawiri Psychology, we adopt the Kunawiri philosophy because we believe that every individual has the ability to transcend above life's challenges. 

 Our minds and bodies have the innate ability to repair and heal and with the right support, become whole, beautiful and fruitful.    

Therapy is the science and art that equips us with strategies to develop resilience and strength to grow, and to bounce back. We learn to acknowledge and accept ourselves and embrace the beauty of being imperfectly perfect.
